Kibale forest is definitely a primate-lovers haven witnessing over 13 species of primates located within the boundaries of the park. Due to its unique location between the central African rainforest and the East African rainforests, Kibale offers both lowland and montane species, which speak to the diversity of primates found within its boundaries. Apart from the famous chimpanzees the park is known for, other primate species you can view include the endemic Ugandan Crested Mangabey, Guereza colobus Monkey also know as Black and white colobus, Vervet monkey, L’ Hoest Monkey, Red-tailed monkey, Blue monkey, olive baboons and so much more. You can also view nocturnal species like bush babies and pottos when you go on night walks.
